Project Overview
Millennium Roofing Systems (MRS) successfully designed and constructed a 3,000 sq. ft roofing shed for the Deenar Group’s manufacturing facility located in Lieda Industrial Estate (LIEDA).
The project was completed within an impressive 7-day timeframe, demonstrating MRS’s ability to deliver precision-engineered solutions under tight operational constraints.
The client required complete roof coverage for their production area while maintaining uninterrupted plant operations. To meet this challenge, MRS constructed the entire roofing structure on the ground, assembled it with precision fittings, and then lifted and positioned it using a crane onto pre-fabricated angle-iron columns, ensuring maximum safety and speed.

This approach minimized downtime, eliminated disruption within the plant, and provided immediate weather protection for the workforce and equipment.
Client Challenges
The client faced a critical operational limitation:
- Restricted Access to Plant Area: Construction work was not permitted directly above the active production space, posing a major logistical challenge.
MRS proposed an innovative workaround — off-ground fabrication and modular crane installation — enabling the client to maintain full operations while still achieving complete roof installation within one week.

To overcome the restricted workspace and achieve structural stability, MRS implemented a pre-fabricated steel roofing system tailored to the site’s requirements.
System Chosen: Pre-fabricated Steel Structure
Material: AluZinc 24-gauge Colorbond (Australia)
Design Considerations: Structural load capacity, wind resistance, and optimal ventilation
Fabrication Details: Ground-level cutting, welding, and modular assembly for precision alignment
Installation Method: Crane lifting onto pre-erected columns, with bolt-based connections for speed and safety
Sustainability Measures: Efficient material utilization, minimal on-site wastage, and recyclability of steel components
Execution Process
The project was executed under a streamlined design-to-installation workflow:
- Design & Fabrication: Structural drawings and fabrication completed within two days.
- Delivery & Assembly: Materials are transported and assembled directly on the ground for safety and quality control.
- Erection: The complete 3,000 sq. ft roofing structure was lifted via crane and fixed on pre-fabricated angle-iron columns.
- Coordination: Close collaboration with civil and safety teams ensured structural alignment and compliance.
- Safety & Efficiency: All work conducted under controlled conditions with strict adherence to industrial safety protocols — achieving zero incidents throughout.
No operational or logistical challenges were encountered; the entire process ran seamlessly from start to finish.
